My client are a multi-award winning, global Quant fund who design and build all of their own cutting edge systems from high frequency trading platforms to large scale compute farms. They're a Quant fund that is technology orientated rather profit, and as such are recognised in the industry as being one the most technology and data driven Quant funds around. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and test real-time mission critical software for algorithmic trading.
  • Provide subject matter expertise knowledge
  • Communicate ideas with Quantitative Research teams develop requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject (min 2:1)
  • 1-5 year's programming in Python
  • Experience working within a collabrative agile environment
  • Understanding of code optimization and high performing applications
  • Exposure to working with either Linux or SQL 

Prior finance knowledge is not required.

 

Salary: Up to $120k + bonus

Location: Montreal

 

The client is happy to wait for notice periods, non-competes and bonuses to be paid. Also, a full job spec is available.
