We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join a prestigious investment bank on a contract basis for a minimum of 6 months. This role is inside IR35 and offers up to £350 per day. You will be working in a high-paced, financial services environment, providing technical support within a Windows-based infrastructure with Dynatrace monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support to users in a financial services environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within a Windows infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Support and optimize Dynatrace monitoring tools for system performance.
  • Work closely with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced, high-pressure banking environment.
  • Maintain and update documentation for IT systems and processes.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer within a financial services or banking environment.
  • Strong expertise in Windows OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Hands-on experience with Dynatrace monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix).
  • Experience with SCCM for software deployment and patching.
  • Ability to troubleshoot networking issues (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Location: London (Hybrid – Onsite Requirements Apply)

Rate: Up to £350 per day

Duration: Minimum 6 months (likely extension)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35
